In one line
EQZ: Escape is a top-down zombie car roguelite about driving one car out of a sealed quarantine zone, where every kilometre makes the night darker and the rewards bigger.
The longer version
An outbreak has been sealed inside the Emergency Quarantine Zone, and you're on the wrong side of the wall. With one car and a roof-mounted gun, you drive out through three procedurally generated zones: the suburbs, the highway and the military perimeter, each ending in a boss guarding the way on.
Difficulty is the time of day. It moves on with every kilometre you drive, so detouring for loot, gas stations and upgrades makes the zombies tougher, but multiplies every reward. Level up to pick from branching upgrade trees for your gun, rear and side weapons, tyres and car parts, each going to level 10. Survivors, wasteland raiders and the army hunt you too, and they're not fond of the zombies either.
Features
- Arcade driving built around drifting, ramming and smashing through anything not bolted down.
- Branching upgrade trees to level 10 for every weapon and car part: miniguns, fireworks barrages, electric saw blades, sun-throwing shotguns, rocket batteries.
- A push-your-luck day: the further you roam, the darker it gets, and the richer the rewards.
- Hunters on your tail: survivors, raiders and the army, plus helicopter gunships, airstrikes and armoured road tyrants.
- Three zones generated fresh every run from hand-built pieces, each with its own exit boss: the Siege Rig, the Tanker King and the Warden.
- A garage of unlockable vehicles: muscle car, go-kart, race car, motorbike, tank, a mech with jump-jets, and a last stand on foot.
- Full controller support, remappable controls and accessibility options (colour-blind filters, reduced flashing, adjustable game speed and more).
